$35 million win one of largest in recent years for shop

BOSTON — Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos was named today as the lead advertising agency for CVS, the nation’s largest pharmacy chain.

The win had been expected (Adweek Online, June 5). The Boston-based Interpublic Group agency, already a roster shop, presented to CVS at its Woonsocket, R.I., headquarters about two weeks ago. It succeeds Bates, New York, as CVS’ lead agency.

The account is worth about $35 million, per CMR, and represents one of Hill, Holliday’s largest wins in recent years.
