NEW YORK Goodby, Silverstein & Partners’ “Abbreviated” radio ad for eBay won the $100,000 grand prize at the Radio-Mercury Awards today.

In the radio spot by the San Francisco shop, people talk in a short, clipped manner, as though they were using abbreviations from a classified ad.

Goodby lost the eBay account in March to BBDO in New York.

Nine spots won the $5,000 general prize. Crispin Porter + Bogusky in Miami won two, one for “Kills More,” for the American Legacy Foundation, an account it shares with Arnold in Boston, and another for “Practice,” for Molson.
