NEW YORK In an attempt to crack its urban target audience, which is said to be more immune to advertising than the general population, Hummer will paint murals and run flip-book subway ads for its H3.

The campaign, launching this month in 16 cities including New York, Boston and Chicago, includes ads from Submedia, New York, which are comprised of a series of digital projections arranged in sequence. From the perspective of a passenger, the moving train animates the pictures.
