FCB Debuts Ads for Hampton Inn & Suites

CHICAGO A new campaign for Hampton Inn & Suites from Foote, Cone & Belding breaks today with the tagline, "We love having you here."

TV spots use the melody from the song "Wouldn't It Be Loverly" from My Fair Lady. The commercials show Hampton employees talking to travelers, while those staying at the hotel sing praises of how the chain meets their needs.

One spot features a businessman dealing with the hassles of an airport and looking forward to service at a Hampton location. Another commercial shows business and leisure travelers being welcomed by Hampton employees on billboards as they head to the hotel.

FCB, here, also created six print ads for the campaign.

FCB won the estimated $5-10 million Hampton account late last year, following a review in which it bested incumbent DDB in Dallas and Martin/Williams in Minneapolis.

The spots continue to employ a service message for the chain, a unit of Hilton Hotel Corp. DDB's work for the last three years when it had the business was tagged, "With you all the way."
