LOS ANGELES Interpublic Group’s Deutsch/LA said it has hired Stefan Gerard as vice president and senior account planner, and promoted account planners Christian Cocker and Matt Jarvis to vice presidents. Gerard reports to Jeffrey Blish, partner and director of account planning.

Gerard joins the Marina Del Rey, Calif., agency from his Gerard Report consultancy, where he worked with Apple, Coca-Cola, Disney Interactive and Pfizer. He also co-founded Gen Art, which specialized in tracking the youth market, and was vice president and marketing director at iFUSE, a Web-based media network.
