CHICAGO Michael Brunner has taken over as chairman and CEO of Blattner Brunner in Pittsburgh, with founding partner Joe Blattner leaving to work in real estate.

Brunner was formerly the shop's president. Moving into the No. 2 position at the agency is Scott Morgan as executive vice president, chief integration officer. Morgan was formerly a vice president and director of strategic services.

Blattner, 48, will continue to serve on the agency's board of directors and as chairman emeritus.

Brunner, 51, has formed a new management team at the agency made up of chief strategy officer Ned Show, director of account services Mary Kay Modaffari, director of media Petra Arbutina and chief financial officer Jeff Burkel.

Blattner Brunner was formed in 1989 as an outgrowth of Blattner's previous company, Communications Inc., which Brunner joined in 1985. Brunner said he has no plans to change the agency's name.
