NEW YORK America Online said it signed a deal with sister company Time Warner Cable to combine forces on a new broadband Internet access offering that could further expand AOL’s online advertising.

The Time Warner Inc. subsidiaries agreed to market the broadband product to AOL’s and Time Warner Cable’s Road Runner customer bases. AOL will manage the service’s online display and search advertising. AOL also will provide content for Road Runner customers not adding the AOL service and sell advertising on those pages.
