BOSTON Five midsize public relations agencies have established Lumin, a collaborative effort. The shops are Carter Ryley Thomas, Richmond, Va.; PainePR, Los Angeles; Padilla Speer Beardsley, Minneapolis; and Patrice Tanaka & Company and Peppercom, both in New York.
All five independent agencies will operate autonomously but “draw upon [each other’s] expertise on an as needed basis,” said Mark Raper, chairman of Lumin and chairman and CEO of Carter Ryley Thomas. “We have respected and admired each other … for eight years.
