Sarah Hofstetter is 360i's new global chief, as Bryan Wiener—who has been an executive with the digital shop since 2004—steps down. He will continue to serve in a chairman capacity. Hofstetter, 39, is being elevated from a U.S. CEO position she's held for 16 months.
The Wiener-Hofstetter tandem led 360i to a memorable 2013, including defining moments in social media marketing and being named Adweek's Digital Agency of the Year. Now Hofstetter will lead the agency's aspirations of helping brands extend domestic Facebook and Twitter programs to countries far and wide. Clients such as Ben & Jerry's have lauded the Dentsu-owned shop's capabilities in terms of synchronizing social messaging on a global scale.
"It is an exciting time for 360i, and I’m very proud of what we've accomplished to date," Hofstetter said in a statement. "We are passionate about advancing our agency and our industry in the ever-evolving digital age, and we remain focused on the future and continuing to move our clients' businesses forward."
Lastly, Wiener has joined social media software firm Expion as chairman in addition to having the same role with 360i.
