In an attempt to meet the growing demand from clients for e-commerce services, two agencies have launched interactive divisions.

Visual Image and Third Degree, both based in Oklahoma City, will offer Internet marketing services to existing clients and look to attract new business to their e-rosters.

Visual Image has named its new division e-telligence. It is headed by agency president Tim Berney.

"We are confident that the Internet can and will play an integral part in every company's marketing model and for some will be the cornerstone of their entire marketing effort," said Berney. "E-telligence will help clients integrate this technology into their plans."

To showcase the agency's online capabilities, Visual Image has rolled out its own updated Web site, www.visualimage.net.

"When companies access our Web site, we want them to understand the myriad of possibilities available to them," said Steve Parham, partner and account services director.

Third Degree Intermedia has the expertise to design and develop Web-based applications, CD-ROMs and interactive business presentations. Its Web site, www.thirddegreeadv.com, displays the agency's services and online capabilities.

The new unit already has several clients, including baetis.com, which offers insurance services; otcc.org of the Oklahoma Technology and Commercialization Center, which helps start-up businesses; and advan-cia.com, which deals in military software applications.

"Our work with existing Web-based clients consists of updating their Web sites and making them as effective as we can," said Tom Searls, director of public relations at Third Degree. "Our approach benefits from the integration of conventional advertising expertise with proven online solutions."
