Bill Kolb, the McCann Worldgroup rising star who has been overseeing all of the company's General Motors' business, has been promoted to president, diversified agencies, a new role where he'll take responsibility for driving key areas including data, analytics and media.

Kolb retains responsibility for GM, McCann Worldgroup's fastest-growing business. At McCann, Kolb has become known for his expertise with multiplatform strategies since he joined 15 years ago as an in-store marketing expert. He rose to senior-level positions at Momentum and was CEO of MRM//McCann before being promoted in 2013 to chairman and CEO of the globally integrated GM business at Commonwealth//McCann.

In addition, Lori Feld has been promoted to president, MRM//McCann North America, a job formerly held by Hank Summy who moved to the Worldgroup unit in 2013 after running McCann's operations in New York and North America. Feld has been at McCann Worldgroup for more than a decade, during which she helped make its Salt Lake City operations known as a well-regarded B-to-B customer experience marketing agency.

Donnalyn Smith has been promoted to president, Momentum North America, a new position at the unit. She joined Momentum in the late 1990s and most recently served as EVP, regional director, North America.

In a statement about the promotions, Harris Diamond, chairman and CEO of McCann Worldgroup, underscored the importance of integrated thinking in career advancement at the company.

"These are leaders who have advanced in our organization through their continuous commitment to providing our clients with integrated, multiplatform creative and strategic solutions that have driven their sales growth," he said.
