Carat announced that it plans to expand its series of digital media and technology seminars—known as the Carat Exchange–to cover a broader range of media topics, despite reports published early today (May 30) indicating that the seminars were being eliminated due to budget cuts.

The agency has held the exchange events since late 2004, specifically to help advance the growth of interactive TV. Carat typically invites a mix of technology firms, distributors, clients and agency executives (including Carat competitors) to each exchange event.
