Cadbury Schweppes Taps VML for Interactive

NEW YORK VML won lead digital marketing duties for Cadbury Schweppes' portfolio of beverage brands, the company said.

The Kansas City, Mo.-based interactive shop will handle Web creative and strategy for brands like Snapple, Dr Pepper, 7Up, Sunkist and Nantucket Nectars. Cadbury had used several Web agencies for its brands.

The Cadbury digital media assignment remains with MEC Interaction, the digital arm of Mediaedge:cia, Cadbury's media agency.

VML said it won the account after a review with undisclosed contenders.

Other Cadbury agencies include WPP's Young & Rubicam, MDC Partners' Cliff Freeman and Partners, independent Laird + Partners and Aegis Group's Ammo Marketing.

Other VML clients include Burger King, Colgate-Palmolive, Intuit and Microsoft.
