Yahoo Buying Foursquare?

Insider sources are telling Valleywag that Yahoo is considering the purchase of the location-based social networking service Foursquare. The price tag is especially impressive for a start-up is just over a year old with approximately 500,000 users – approximately $100 million. Notes Valleywag:

A Foursquare acquisition makes tons of sense for Yahoo, where product executives believe that paradigm of Web pages could soon go away, to be replaced by a universe of service built on Internet-connected devices in, around, and outside the home.
