This Danish cartoon thing still won’t go away, so Education of a Comics Artist author Steven Heller pulls out all the stops in a really provocative interview with the Philadelphia Inquirer’s Signe Wilkinson, who caught some heat herself when illustrating black-on-black violence with a few strokes of her pen. They talk about the notorious toons, what’s happening with editorial departments in general, “The Simpsons,” and why, Wilkinson says, “Cartoonists are here to say what others can’t or won’t.”
