WCBS/Channel 2 Anchor Cindy Hsu Getting Special Honor
WCBS/Ch. 2 weekend anchor Cindy Hsu is being recognized with the 2011 Bill Gallo Distinguished Media Achievement Award from the Soldiers’, Sailors’, Coast Guard and Airmen’s Club.
The award is named in honor of the Bill Gallo, the renowed Daily News cartoonist who died in May.
Gallo earned the honor in 2007. Hsu, who co-anchors the early newscasts with Don Dahler, will get the hardware during Friday’s event at the Hotel Pierre, the Daily News reports.
The award presented to a journalist who upholds the highest ideals and standards of journalism, while also making distinguished and selfless contributions to the nation.
