USA Today Publisher Turns Headquarters Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness

Gannett, which publishes USA Today, has turned its McClean, Va., headquarters pink to honor breast-cancer awareness.

Now through Sunday (Mother’s Day), drivers on DC’s beltway and Dulles toll road will see the company’s massive corporate towers dolled up in the hue that has come to signify the fight against the disease.

“Turning our towers pink is one small way Gannett can help create further awareness of the many important steps people can take to combat breast cancer,” said Gannett president, COO and CFO Gracia Martore in a statement.

Gannett is also working with the National Breast Cancer foundation to promote its Early Detection Plan on the Web via USAToday.com
