Congratulate the New Yorker art editor on her deal with Candlewick Press, which has just acquired a majority stake in her burgeoning comics-for-preschoolers venture Toon Books. Mouly will be celebrating style at the Rockefeller Center Banana Republic store (626 Fifth Avenue), which is hosting an exhibition of fashion covers from The New Yorker's 85-year-archive. Attendees also can also chat with Banana Republic creative director Simon Kneen over sparkling wine, hors d'oeuvres, and significant shopping incentives (25% off full-priced merch). Get in the loop with Ross Menuez and out of the loop with Vena Cava. The multitalented Salvor Projects designer will present "LOOP," a new installation, tonight at No. 8a (22 West 29th Street). Continue transcending fashion with Vena Cava's Lisa Mayock and Sophie Buhai, who will help host a "Fashion Outsiders' Fashion's Night Out Party" at Partners and Spade (40 Great Jones Street) from 6 to 9 p.m. They promise a display of handmade items created especially for the event by people who have no connection to the fashion industry whatsoever. Among the contributing artisans: an Oklahoma farmer, Lisa's dad, a tree, a zookeeper, and toddlers. Proceeds from the sale of the one-of-a-kind items will benefit the Ali Forney Center. Tell Donna Karan she doesn't look a day over 23. Stop by Saks Fifth Avenue (611 Fifth Avenue) to join the store's celebration of the designer's 25 years in fashion. Know what goes perfectly with artfully draped cashmere? Deep cleansing breaths! Down in the Meatpacking District, Karan's Urban Zen initiative (705 Greenwich Street) will offer up the healing powers of its integrative therapists. Also celebrating the big 2-5 this year is Tommy Hilfiger, who is throwing "the ultimate tailgate party" at Macy's (151 West 34th Street). Hilfiger will sign autographs and Grammy-winning band Train will perform, which doesn't sound like any tailgate we've ever attended. Go to Siberia. We plan to wrap up the evening by elbowing our way to an audience with Tom Ford (who'll be signing flacons of his heady fragrances at the Bergdorf Goodman Men's Store). After gushing to him about the seminal cinematic achievement of A Single Man and how eagerly we're anticipating his return to womenswear, we'll end our FNO in Siberia—via Anthropologie (75 Ninth Avenue). The store is hosting a performance by landscape artist Jim Denevan, who recently completed a drawing on Siberia's Lake Baikal for Anthropologie's digital exhibition space, and will also preview a new documentary about Denevan's Siberia expedition. Icy, cold, barren cocktails will be served.
