The Verdict: TheStop6Project Preys On Writers (SCAM ALERT)
Earlier this month we received an odd e-mail that was worth blogging: it was a very strangely worded “FINAL call for writers” to complete a screenplay that would be the sequel to an already-completed fauxumentary about spontaneous human combustion.
The back story: the e-mail was oddly worded, but promised decent money…IF the would-be writer would pay or join an affiliate program to watch the first movie.
We wrote at the time: “It’s certainly possible that they’re a misguided small production company that earnestly thinks this is a good way to filter out candidates.”
