Seinfeld 'Old Man' Bill Erwin Dies at 96
Actor Bill Erwin, who played “The Old Man” in a memorable guest appearance on Seinfeld–which earned him an Emmy nod–has died at the age of 96. Erwin was a veteran TV actor, who, prior to his famous Seinfeld gig, made the rounds on “Growing Pains,” “Gunsmoke,” “Highway to Heaven,” “Perry Mason,” “The Golden Girls,” “Twilight Zone,” ” Zane Grey Theater,” “Who’s the Boss?” among other shows.
He also happened to be a more than half-way decent cartoonist–his work was published in the New Yorker, Playboy and Los Angeles magazine among other venues.
