Politico is experiencing some major turbulence as founder and CEO Jim VandeHei plans to leave after the election, along with chief White House correspondent Mike Allen, chief operating officer Kim Kingsley, chief revenue officer Roy Schwartz and evp for expansion Danielle Jones. VandeHei and Allen, joined by Schwartz, plan to start a new venture and will almost certainly actively recruit current employees. John Harris, one of the site’s three co-founders and its current editor in chief, will be Politico’s publisher.
