Public Radio: Plagiarism, Movie Deals

According to the AP, the ironically-named financial advisor and commentator Gabriel Wisdom has been dropped from the LA-produced ‘Marketplace’ and the San Diego public radio station KPBS for plagiarizing from Slate and, reportedly, other sources as well. Meanwhile, Ira Glass gets a studio assignment to co-write an adaptation of Ethan Watters’s book Urban Tribes. In case you missed it, Urban Tribes explores the daring thesis that people who live in cities often have networks of friends.
