ProPublica Data Institute Participants Include Pioneering Video Blogger
Inaugural New York workshop is scheduled for June 1-15.
Immediately following the Memorial Day weekend, a dozen chosen candidates will convene in New York for ProPublica’s first-ever Summer Data Institute. The 10-day intensive workshop, which runs June 1-15, is designed to teach participants “how to use data, design and code for journalism.”
Perusing the journalist mini-biographies, we were struck by the diversity of professional and personal backgrounds. The participants include one person whose video blogging experience tracks back to Y2K:
