Say what you want about Playboy — the magazine is dead, Hugh Hefner is probably a robot, etc. — but it still has some magic left. Thanks to the 60 cents issue that tied it to “The Playboy Club” TV show, Playboy landed in the top five October monthlies, improving its ad pages by 70 percent from last year.
Despite that impressive gain, min reports that Playboy actually came in second. People en Español grabbed the top spot for the month, improving ad pages by 73 percent with its 15th anniversary issue.
