Paula Wagner Says Bye Bye to UA

Paula Wagner, the once Tom Cruise agent who turned into the Cruise production partner at United Artists, is leaving the mini-studio to start up her own indie production shingle.
Variety reported as much in a small write-up of the news.
The move was unexpected and probably didn’t have anything to do with her husband Rick Nicita’s departure from CAA two weeks ago to run Morgan Creek Pictures.
But maybe it did.
