Patricia Urquiola Goes to Fashion Week
Well, sort of. Patricia Urquiola, the Spanish-born, Milan-based designer who has worked with everyone from Alessi and Cappellini to Kartell and W Hotels, has designed the cover and dividers for this season’s handy-dandy Modem fashion reference guide, distributed at the Bryant Park tents throughout New York Fashion Week, which runs through Friday.
Urquiola, who also designed the cover of the guide for last month’s men’s collections in Milan, has adorned this notebook-sized Modem book with a series of disappearing funnel clouds comprised of pixellated red creatures (reminscent of those that populated Atari’s Centipede
