As expected, The New York Times has relaunched NYT Now as a free app. The app, which previously asked non-Times subscribers to pay $8 a month for access, also has a slightly different look.
NYT Now’s previous version had one stream for articles pulled from the Times and another for stories curated from around the web. The new version is a single stream, with Times stories appearing at the top. NYT Now also highlights new stories and uses a card system, which makes the reading experience faster.
