NPR Reorganizes Executive Structure

NPR has developed a new executive structure that it hopes will allow closer coordination of its news, digital and programming strategies and a greater alignment of its news operations.

This has translated into the promotion of Kinsey Wilson to the new role of executive vice president and chief content officer. He will set the direction and oversee the operations for all content areas: news, programming and digital media. Margaret Low Smith will permanently lead NPR News as senior vice president, a position she has been acting in since January 2011.
