Norm Pearlstine Joins Bloomberg Terminal Competitor

Money.net's new chief information architect.

Norm Pearlstine, who previously worked as Time Inc.’s chief content officer, has joined Money.net as its chief information architect.

Money.net is a startup with plans to take on Bloomberg Terminals with its own low-cost alternative. While a subscription to Bloomberg Terminals typically run about $21,000 a year, a subscription to Money.net’s service only costs about $1,500.

Non-coincidentally, Money.net was founded by former Bloomberg exec Morgan Downey. Pearlstine also previously worked for Bloomberg.

At Money.net, Pearlstine will be “assembling a team of talented developers and journalists, who working together will provide subscribers with products using machine learning and other forms of AI to move beyond algorithmic filters and tags.”
