The feud between Gawker Media and Peter Thiel is only getting weirder. In an open letter, Gawker founder Nick Denton challenged Thiel to an open debate.
Denton said that Thiel’s decision to bankroll Terry “Hulk Hogan” Bollea’s lawsuits in an effort to destroy Gawker was “twisted” and “quite out of proportion to the hurt you claim.”
The Gawker founder then proposed an “alternate approach” to Thiel’s movie villain-like moves.
“Now you have revealed yourself, let us have an open and public debate… We can hold the discussion in person with a moderator of your choosing, in front of an audience, under the auspices of the Committee to Protect Journalists, or in a written discussion on some neutral platform such as Medium.
