News of the World Whistleblower Sean Hoare Found Dead In His Home
Sean Hoare, the News of the World reporter who outed the full extent of his former paper’s phone hacking to the New York Times, was found dead in his London home today, reports The Guardian. The paper quotes local police as saying: “The death is currently being treated as unexplained, but not thought to be suspicious. Police investigations into this incident are ongoing.”
Not suspicious, huh? The man who told the Times that News of the World bought off police officers to help use police technology to hack into the phones of celebrities is found dead, and that’s not at all suspicious? The man who helped launch a huge international scandal involving a massive multinational media corporation and multiple levels of the British government dies in his home and that’s not at all suspicious? Not even a weensie bit?
