NBC Shuffles People Around; Recreates Current Department

NBC will once again have a department fully dedicated to current TV series, rather than combining those responsibilities with development, reports Deadline Hollywood.

NBC program executive Vernon Sanders becomes EVP Current Programming, NBC and Universal Media Studios. He’ll be responsible for overseeing all currently-on-TV scripted programming for the network and studio.

The network decided it needed a dedicated current department because of NBC’s huge volume of new series this year—twelve new series debut on NBC next year.
