Melissa McCart Named Editor of Eater NY

McCart joins Eater from Newsday, where she served as a dining critic. She previously worked as a critic and restaurant columnist for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and the Miami New Times.

“McCart has extensive experience covering the hospitality industry, and she has an intimate knowledge of the NYC restaurant scene from her years living and working in the Tri-State area,” wrote former Eater NY editor Greg Morabito, in a note. “We’re thrilled that she’s joining the team.”

McCart is succeeding Morabito, who is taking on a new, undisclosed role at Eater.
