Magazine Circulation Drops 2.3%

Despite improvement in ad sales, overall average U.S. magazine circulation declined 2.3 percent in the first six months of 2010, compared to last year.

According to the Audit Bureau of Circulations, circulation dropped for the 440 magazines included in the research to 313.8 million copies from 321.1 million copies last year.

Reader’s Digest saw the most precipitous decline among the top-25 most circulated magazines, with a 25 percent drop in copies.
