KTTV Investigation Leads to Formation of LASD Cyber Squad
This is worth way more than a local journalism prize. Today on Fox 11, reporter Gina Silva gave viewers a first look at the Los Angeles County Sheriff Department’s new “electronic communications unit.”
What makes today’s report so special is that this cyber squad was set up as a result of Silva’s earlier 2012 reports on the phenomenon of “Facebook parties,” illegal affairs where drugs and alcohol are sold to often underage patrons.
