Jakob Nielsen Says Web 2.0 Is Bad, Opens Floor for Comments

Maybe ruffling a few feathers here and there, the BBC is reporting that “web usability guru,” Jakob Nielsen has announced that he believes that Web 2.0 is a detriment to good web design. Though it’s not as cut and dry as that, and he tends to make some good points, saying, essentially that jumping on the 2.0 bandwagon without having anything to back it up, say quality and consistency, is backward thinking. To create a bad metaphor, it’s sort of like having the housewarming before you’ve finished building the house and buying the grill.
