Incoming Reddit Community Manager Has Leukemia, Needs Bone Marrow Donor
Sad news from Reddit headquarters in San Francisco. Newly hired community manager David A. Croach has been diagnosed with Leukemia and needs a bone marrow transplant to give him the best chance of surviving. Chemotherapy alone doesn’t seem to be doing it. Unfortunately, as of yet, Croach does not have a matching donor. Reddit is trying to fix that.
A bone marrow transplant’s success relies heavily on the host’s and donor’s immune markers being similar enough that the new bone marrow doesn’t attack its host.
