IAC Creates Publishing Unit

Say hello to IAC Publishing.

IAC has merged several of its brands into a new media unit called IAC Publishing. The publishing arm will include The Daily Beast, About.com, Dictionary.com, Investopedia and more.

Doug Leeds will serve as CEO of IAC Publishing. He previously oversaw Ask.com.

“IAC has tremendous advantages in the digital media space: established and trusted brands, loyal audiences, enormous scale, incredible technology,” said IAC CEO Joey Levin, in an announcement. “Unified as a single operating entity under Doug’s leadership, we’re able to deliver unprecedented consumer and advertiser value, and maximize our position in a market that continues to grow as billions of ad dollars move online.”
