Until his passing, David Foster Wallace was a contributing editor at Harper’s (The magazine put the author’s impressive archives online after his suicide in September.)
In November’s issue, Harper’s continues to champion the writer, running a series of letters DFW wrote to students in Anne Fadiman’s advanced nonfiction class at Yale after they read “Getting Away from Already Pretty Much Being Away from It All,” a finalist for a 1995 National Magazine Award.
