If you’re ever feeling as though you don’t accomplish enough with your time, don’t look at Graydon Carter for comparison. He runs Vanity Fair, a magazine with a 1.3 million-circulation. Last year he produced his second film for HBO, a documentary called “His Way,”about the legendary Hollywood producer Jerry Weintraub. He’s never too busy for a speaking engagement. He’s an investor in two New York restaurants, the Monkey Bar and the Waverly Inn. And you will never, ever catch him with a hair out of place.

Now the New York Times reports he is coming out with a children’s book for the iPad, which he is painting himself, because he’s apparently pretty good at that, too. The book “Bella’s Umbrella,” which he wrote for his daughters, is actually his second book — his first was on a slightly different subject, the presidency of George W. Bush. If you couldn’t tell already, the man is not exactly limited in range.
