Google Separates Further From Search Competitors

Another month, another announcement that Google continues to corner the search market.

In November 2008, almost two-thirds of all searches went through the Mountain View company’s servers (64.1 percent, to be exact). This was up from 57.7 percent just a year earlier.

This news comes at a bad time for top competitor Yahoo, which is already having enough trouble and recently laid off 10 percent of its staff. The company corralled 16.1 percent of searches during November, down 1.7
