The New York Giants played a tight game with their AFC East rival Philadelphia Eagles Sunday night. It was a late field goal that did in the G-Men, 19-17. However, it was some winning of a different sort–in the ratings. NBC’s Sunday Night Football was the highest-rated program in New York with an estimated 2.2 million viewers watching the game on Channel 4 and a whopping 11.4 rating, according to Nielsen.

Gearing up fans for the action, the final 30 minutes of pre-game show Football Night in America was third (1.3 million/6.7).

Fox had a winning week thanks to the NFL as well. WNYW registered a fourth-place showing for the 15 minute portion of late game spillover (1.1 million/5.9). The second-half of Fox’s doubleheader, even without a New York team, was seventh (1 million/5.4).

ABC’s Emmy Award winning comedy Modern Family was second-best for the week (1.5 million/7.6).
