Executive Editor of La Opinión Steps Down

Pedro Rojas, the executive editor of La Opinión, will be stepping down from his position this Friday after eight years at the paper.

“I needed a break,” he told the Latino media site Media Movers.  “In this job you have to be on call 24 hours a day, every day.  I’ve been in the business a long time.  Now I need to relax for a few months.”

Rojas won’t be too relaxed, however, as he’s both publisher and co-editor of the upstart student-run community newspaper Boyle Heights Beat.

Buena suerte, sir.
