ESPN The Magazine and Pop-Up Magazine Come to New York
On May 11th, ESPN The Magazine and Pop-Up Magazine – an orginization that puts on live, one night only “magazines” – will perform at NYU’s Skirball Center for the Perfoming Arts.
Here’s how it works: A mix of writers, filmmakers, photographers and artists all unveil new pieces, live on stage, in the format of a magazine. Some of the people contributing include ESPN analyst Jay Bilas, New Yorker writer William Finnegan, ESPN writer Katie Baker, artist Andrew Kuo, Found magazine creator Davy Rothbart, ESPN The Magazine writer Alyssa Roenigk, and New York Times Magazine writer Jon Mooallem.
