Emily Thornton Moves From Print And TV To Oliver Wyman
Emily Thornton, who formerly covered private equity news for Bloomberg News and who worked as a senior writer at Bloomberg BusinessWeek, has joined consulting firm Oliver Wyman as the director of research within its corporate risk division.
Thornton will direct and write about research concerning issues of “risk to corporations, non-profits and countries such as climate change, volatile commodity prices, stubbornly high unemployment and a slower growing China.”
In addition, she will oversee joint research projects with other groups and organizations, and work as part of the firm’s ongoing projects aimed at developing Sub-Saharan Africa.
