Discover Promotes Executive Editor to EIC
Corey Powell, who’s spent 11 years as an editor at Discover, will take over the role of editor-in-chief. Most recently, Powell has been executive editor.
The magazine’s editorial director, Patrice Adcroft, said the following in a statement announcing the appointment: “Corey is gifted in his ability to both grasp complex and cutting edge scientific information and then present that information in a lively and relevant manner to a lay audience. Discover‘s six million readers are lucky to have Corey’s clear vision and thinking guiding the magazine they so love.”
