Department of Things We Missed

Conde Nast must have tucked a little bit of money away in their web budgets last year; first Wired.com got rewired, now the New Yorker.com is, well, new. Somehow the latter went over our heads until we visited there today (looking for this), and what do you know, it was redesigned by the most literary firm in the design world, Winterhouse.

Not only is it full of web bonuses (animated cartoons!), it looks and feels more like the actual magazine while simultaneously pulling off the online magazine format.
