Beloved Sacramento Sportscaster Creighton Sanders Passes Away

From 1960 to 1992, Creighton Sanders, a.k.a “Moose,” was synonymous on local Sacramento TV with whatever was happening in sports. First with KXTV, then with KCRA. The retired sportscaster was found dead at his home on Sunday at age 85.

Just how different were things back when Sanders started out? How about showing up at the 1968 Summer Olympics without any proper press credentials and still being allowed to interview gold medalists. From the Sacramento Bee obit by Matt Kawahara:
