Sarah Roberts, who joined Elle on a freelance basis in late 2007, will sign on as a full-timer, joining as special projects director. She’ll be tasked with “developing ways to further advertisers’ presence in the magazine via multi-tiered programs.”

The announcement of Roberts’ hiring comes just a week after Zoe Abbott was named business development director.

The moves are clearly an effort to build upon the success of the magazine’s partnership with Project Runway. EIC Robbie Myers hopes the ad pages boost will extend to new reality
