City Council Passes Incentives To Keep Hollywood Local
It’s called film production flight, and it happens when producers figure out they can film in a different part of the county for less money. Yesterday the Los Angeles City Council voted to pass a package of financial incentives that will make it more affordable for for film and TV productions to stay put. Variety.com gives more details about the package:
It includes provisions designed to make it easier to shoot in L.A., and it directs city staffers to develop guidelines for a business tax break for film and TV productions.
